Monster Island is The Asylum's 2019 mockbuster. It was released at the same time that Godzilla: King of the Monsters. The film is about an island called Monster Island. A monster could be found there, and who may then become the Monster Island.


It's an asylum movie with the budget of a big kid's dinner. (more info) But it uses it wisely. It concentrates on a few human characters while keeping its big stars in a single set so that all their sequences can still be recorded during lunch. The Asylum might not do so badly considering that it is a kaiju-themed film.
